The High Speed Rail Authority (HSRA), which is tasked with advising on, planning, developing and overseeing the construction and operation of a transformational network along Australia’s east coast, delivered the Newcastle to Sydney High Speed Rail Business Case in 2024.
Client requirements
VLC have supported the Business Case with demand modelling for the EY-led Economics, Funding and Financing, and Demand Modelling work package. Our team undertook modelling for the initial Newcastle to Sydney connection, as well as delivering a new east coast model and initial forecasts between Melbourne and Brisbane.
