What an honour to win this year’s Data Visualisation Award at Modelling World 2022 held in Birmingham last week!

We showcased the visualisation capabilities of our People Movement Data module released earlier this year, which aims to make ‘big data’ in mobility highly accessible and usable. Upon receiving the award Tom van Vuren said “Couldn’t be more proud of the level of innovation that flows from our Planwisely team, and we’re so excited to see what they do next.”

This Award is for initiatives in data visualisation that presents modelling output (or input!) data effectively, with proven success in gaining new and dependable insights.

The judging panel had this to say, “VLC’s entry Planwisely is oriented to interactive planning and decision making with services on Accessibility, Bus mode share, Traffic display, Population Growth, Catchment area and Accidents reporting. I am impressed by VLC’s efforts to ensure the units were software agnostic, that is that it worked on any of the usual platforms: Cube, EMME, Visum, Aimsun, TransCAd and Omnitrans. We selected this as the winner.”
