The Warrawee PSP modelling project consisted of an assessment of the effect that rezoning and an increase in jobs in the subject area would have on the wider transport network.

Client requirements

The Client required VLC to undertake strategic transport modelling to support the preparation of an evidence-based strategic transport review paper, relating to the rezoning and development of a subject site. The paper was to outline the impacts of rezoning the subject site on the broader transport system.

Outcomes

VLC undertook transport modelling, utilising the strategic Zenith model, inputting the expected number of new jobs in the subject area for one future year. Precinct Structure Plans (PSPs) in the broader area was also taken into consideration and an estimate of build out in the future year was made.

The outcomes focussed on the transport impacts in the future year, as well as plots comparing future base and project case. These were presented to the client in spreadsheet form, detailing model KPIs, as well as in difference plots showing the comparison between future base and project case.
